2010 zone golf cart
I purchased a zone golf cart 3 months ago not knowing it wasn't a normal golf
cart. I brought it home got on it an it went a whopping 5mph. After several phone calls with no answers to my problem I found it seems no one in the United States knows how to fix them or even wants to talk about them.local repair shops in Delaware and Maryland had never seen anything like them and had no clue how to fix them.eventually after 2 months I researched everthing I could.i own a heating and a/c company so how hard could it be to fix this thing.after several post by others who were simply selling them off for parts and giving up I finally tamed the beast.it has a Curtis 1268-5403 controller which I found was a generic model I replaced the speed sensor, magnet, time relapse relay and had the controller rebuilt by flight systems out of PA.The problem was a $35.00 potentiometer located in the throttle module.the night mare was calibrating it so I cut an access plate in the floor board and now I have a 20Mph cart which was a time consuming pain in the neck.so my advice would be if you have one that works sell it fast if your considering buying one just get a conventional golf cart.mine I love since I spent 120 hours of research and $1,000.00 to get it going. |
