Default G14 Engine Swap

Looking for ideas on what to put in my yamaha G14. Vegas carts doesnt make a kit to put the 625 in there. What have you all done as far as swaps. We use the car to push my racecar at the dragstrip. Looking for a power increase over the stock motor with no governor. Thanks

The other way is buy a honda 390 or some 420 chinese clone and use their install kit. Or can one of your friends involved with your drag car do it ?

Save yourself some headaches buy the Vegas install kit and a 440 duromax or a 420 predator or Lifan my 2cents
Or a Vanguard if you don’t mind lifting it 4inchs

The diy instruction in my opinion are very lacking.so much so I called them when I assembled one.i was asking for ring gap specs, rod bolt torque specs, bearing clearances.i got told its just a lawn mower engine specs aren't that important.however that was a couple years ago and maybe they have improved. Also they still are not very hard to assemble.even if you had questions you could ask on here.

I used the Honda GX 390 ring gap specs which is .20-.40 mm or .01-.02 " s. Also used the honda torque specs for bolts not listed by VC. The honda specs are listed all over the net.
