Default G29 vs Drive 2

How much is the ride improved on the Drive2 vs the drive1?
Trying to balance the cost of changing carts vs refurbishing my 2008

If the 2008 is in good shape, trade it in. 2008 team axle is an expensive ticking time bomb preparing to blow up your wallet. You will love the Drive2 ride & quietness.

The input shaft is known to fail ($$$.$$), the hubs are known to strip, taking the axle shaft with it ($$$$.$$), the internal wet brakes are ($$$.$$) when they fail. Parts are no longer being produced, so as supply dries up, prices have only one direction to go. At some point not too far in the future, there will be no parts.

Heres an example, the complete rear axle for your cart (JW1-G6300-02-00 transaxle assembly- Msrp $5734.99)

Are you talking a specific year?? I have not seen anything on forms on input failure and nothing about the hubs striping either...... and the internal wet breaks i think are great, don't have to worry about mud, water, sand getting in the drums and having to replace pads and drums all the time which will add up if you like to go off-road. Also Just replace my breaks because i put 8:1 in my 2009 cart so I thought for $200 (I think is Cheap) why not. The old one are still good so I should be set for a long time. Also it was super easy to install, but this is all my own opinion

But yeah if you want a whole new diff, well you will need to buy a parts cart.

Agreed, I am in The Villages Florida, there must be 30k of those carts here, def no big reports of transaxle failure.

So back to the original question, does the drive 2 ride a bunch better than my 2008 drive.

Snowgoose, I'm not trying to be smart-alecky here, but I got a simple question. Maybe I'm missing something. You obviously want to know the ride difference between your care and a Drive2. Since you have your cart, why not go to a dealer and try a Drive2. That way you can compare personally.

You also stated you are in The Villages, so there must be ample opportunity to locate and try out nearly any kind of cart you are interested in comparing.
