G-16 Electrical
SO I have a beef up 25 HP VG in my G-16. Getting ready to add lights, winch, Light bars, tail lights, turn signals, more light bars. Do I need to think about adding a generator or something. If so what do you all suggest?

25hp?
Yeah if you're wanting to run a bunch of accessories you'll want an alternator. You can find threads on here about adding alternators. It's not that difficult, most of the alternators you can use only have 1 or 2 wires. You just need a pulley behind the primary clutch and some kind of mount to hold the alternator. |

Re: G-16 Electrical
I ran most of that stuff with my G16 with VC 625cc engine. I ran an automobile style battery and never had any issues.
I didn't run the winch all that much (which would drain battery more than anything) but it was there when I needed it. |

Re: G-16 Electrical
I put a Honda GX 630 in a Gator. With all it's LED lights and winch the engine's generating system is more than enough generating capacity. I just make sure the engine is running before I use the winch.
