Putting a G2 Motor in a G1 Cart
Hello All,
This is probably a stupid question, but will a G2 motor drop into a G1 cart. Any help is much appreciated. |

Re: Putting a G2 Motor in a G1 Cart
No, you can't just "drop" it in.
The G1 is a completely different bird, 2 cycle engine, completely different wiring, and the transaxle does not have reverse, the engine actually runs backwards to obtain reverse. The G2 is a 4 cycle engine that uses a reverse gear in the trans, only spins counter clockwise. Now, that doesn't mean you can't do it. But it won't just "drop" in. |
