In my case its obvious
Its already paid for. I will never again need 100ft of stinger lead so why not put it to good use. I took a sample of cable with me today and found it did fit the cheapy split battery lugs for #2.The problem lies in that not all #2 lugs are the same size. |

and as so neither are the lugs
I just measured the T&B lugs I use and they have a .050 wall to them. This is for a tinned copper lug.An aluminum alloy lug(not recommended for lead/acid batteries) will be thicker. Cheaper copper lugs will be thinner,and perhaps not even all copper material. |

The aluminum lugs need to be thicker to handle the amperage as copper.
