Santa brought me a crimping tool and I want to make some new 2 ga wires for my cart. Where have yall found the best prices for by the foot cable, lugs, and shrink wrap?

Lugs I use come from Mouser, high quality. If you buy from Amazon you must stay away from Chinese thin wall crappy lugs.

Amazon for welding cable and shrink
https://www.amazon.com/EWCS-Gauge-Pr...s%2C255&sr=8-5

Pick what you want for shrink tube 3/4" diameter

I ordered cable and lugs from Amazon. Cable was 2 ga, 25' red, 25' black. Worked out to about $1.60/ft delivered with tax. Also ordered 25 lugs with shrink wrap. Ad said delivery by Wednesday. Put order in and delivery is Jan 5-8. Not in a hurry.

I use this crimper

https://www.amazon.com/ABN-Hydraulic...s%2C185&sr=8-5

With these terminal lugs 2AWG 5/16"
https://www.amazon.com/SELTERM-Marin...8-3&th=1&psc=1

Even though the terminals are for #2 wire it fits perfectly over #1 wire welding lead which is what i used.

I also used Marine 3:1 3/4" Heat Shrink and Red/Black AlexTech Braided Loom.

Just a FYI, you will have to lube up the #2 wire to pass it through the OBC. Takes a little force but it does fit!

Thanks, no soldering ? just crimp and go ?
I need at least 25 foot of leads for my welder. I like the #1 wire. I plan on using a small whip at end for ease of use. Again, thanks for the help. Tom

No solder and be careful if you have an OBC since forcing the cable through the opening can loosen the toroidal concentrator (blue) surrounding the hall effect sensor (device located on the gap) and cause issues with charging.

Correct, no soldering is needed. Just crimp and go. With using the #2 terminals with #1 wire and then crimping with the 16Ton crimper i linked above i bet the ring on the terminal would fail before the crimp does.

Heres a close up picture of the terminal after crimping before installing the heat shrink.

Didnt realize there was something that could be damaged. Glad i put a little silicone spray on the wire before sliding through. It wouldnt slide at all without it. With it, the wire slide pretty easy.

I agree on Skycraft for the welding cable. But, since I am in SODO area, through all of this Ultimate I-4 I have stayed off downtown going north on I-4 unless absolutely necessary to go that way. Besides, what I pay for cable, goes to the customer per build, so not a real issue. Mostly laziness unless I need lots more from Skycraft. The lugs I am using are Molex closed end. Great quality lugs
