Default Vegas Carts, Engine flooding?

My Vegas Carts engine will start from cold with no problem but once it warms up if I would stop it then try to restart it a minute or two later it won't start and I can smell fuel. My guess is that it's flooding itself. Has anyone run into this and/or does anyone have a solution? Super frustrated with it at this point. The only thing I ever did on the carb is adjust the idol. That is it. Please help!

Use a brass T fitting next to the carb and run a return line back to the tank. Also try setting your float level a little lower.

Just as slonomo suggested, try installing a T in the fuel line. Here is a picture of my 625 with this completed.

I’m going to try that! What size is that T fitting?

Its a nylon 1/4" barbed tee. I believe it came from Tractor Supply Company.

I had a similar experience when I finished mine it ran like a champ on on the maiden voyage bot died coming up the driveway. I tried replacing the fuel pump but the only thing that I found that would work is what was mentioned above. It now runs great with the return line and electronic fuel pump

This happens with clones in Yamaha too if you use the carb spacer for pulse, at idle the pulse is really strong and floods the gravity feed carb. I run pulse off the rocker cover and its fine but at high rpm I can get a little oil in there and then it starves for fuel until I clean it out. But that is only over 5K rpm. I have stuff to change how it works when I get time to play with it. The stock G9 Yamaha has a bypass on the pulse line I believe to deal with this oil issue.

Wait. Are you saying that you have oil in your vaccum line?

I used this setup in the past. The T in the vent port on top of the tank was soldered closed and drilled 3/32" to drain off the extra fuel pressure in the 1/4" line. It worked well till the Ebay pump vapor locked on a hot day.
