Noticed the el cheapo electric fuel pump is looking corroded so I ordered a Holley 12-426 for Suzi. We will see how this $50 fuel pump works out with the Mikuni VM 34 on Suzi's 440 cc sled engine.

Just picked up the Holley fuel pump for Suzi. 20 mph winds out there, BUT I will see if I can get it installed. Stay tuned

Got the Holley pump installed on Suzi. Good news is it doesn't overpower the float needle on the VM 34 so a return line wasn't needed. This VM 34 was on the 440 F/C engine to begin with and the sled did have a fuel pump.

I put one of those low pressure Holley electric pumps on a lawn mower years ago.....after Kawasaki/John Deere informed me a replacement mechanical pump was almost $200. Worked great for a LOT less $$. My parents only raised one stupid kid and it wasn't me.
Napa sells the same pump branded as "Balkamp"......usta' stock several when I was in the parts business. Jim |

Finally welded in the brace for Suzi's pedal box. Worked out great. Maybe she is good for the season.

A weather proof main switch I had ordered for Suzi's new fuel pump arrived today. All soldered in and working great. Another job off the list.

I took Suzi for a couple more runs today. Fine tuned her carb for a steadier idle. Have her with a nice idle @ 1500 rpms . She is a blast to drive.
