Default Break in procedure for 2pg EZGO

Going to be doing an upper end overhaul (jug and piston w/rings), any special break in or just run the gas richer?

Thanks guys

I posted the same post a while back and didn't get much of an answer. I rebuilt mine a few months back. Ran it about 50:1. I did a real slow first run for about 15 minutes of getting on the throttle about half way and then letting off. Didn't go full throttle for about an hr and a half of steady riding. After the hr and a half I ran it hard the rest of the night and ever since. Rings sat perfect and I am back up to about 120 lbs of compression.

How did you off-set the rings? Did you use any assembly lube?

If you got a new piston it will have tabs in the ring grooves. set the gaps on those tabs. just be sure not to move the jug side to side once you have the piston in the jug. It will break those tabs. I just drenched everything in a ton of 2 stroke. I replaced the head gasket, jug, base gasket, piston, rings, and wrist pin. Just soaked all the internal parts. All came in a kit except for the wrist pin. Not sure why the kit wouldn't come with that. It's worth changing it while you have it all apart.
