I guess if you have a lift it makes a difference?

It does, it makes it easier to get all four bolts out of the cap. If it's not lifted, there's two ways to go about it. You can either take the shocks and springs loose and drop the rear transaxle down to get the clearance you need, or you can just remove the entire motor and work on it on a bench. Sometimes that's not an option if the motor is stuck and won't budge. That happens a lot.

I finally have it back together after 4 hours. ( Never remove those two screws! )
I did use Tahoedawg's method as I did not want to remove the motor.
Thank you Tahoedawg and all the others for your input.

Whoa, a 2003 Precedent. You have one of the prototype Precedents, as they weren't available until 2004. Any chance you have a pic of it, just for fun?

What is the full serial? It isn't by chance PQ0327, is it?

I think the 27th week of production in 2003 is the only week in 2003 they made the proto-type Precedents

Not really a collectors item. My 95 DS is a perfect example. It is one of the first 48v CC carts ever built. Will someone pay extra for that? No. To the average person, it's just a 95 CC DS
