92 carryall electrical problem
Had an intermittent prob where cart would not start on the pedal and now it is back. I thought it was the seloniod an changed it and problem is still there. Although I can start the cart by jumping the seloniod. I have the diagram but dont really know where to test for power on the micro switches, or to test if they bad. I would like to know the power trail from the key switch all the way thru to the Genny belt starter. Or what is the common problem or fix. Thanks to all! This fourm is the best! Steve

Re: 92 carryall electrical problem
I would check the micro switches at the F&R and then the micro switches at the Throtte cable cam in the little blk box

Re: 92 carryall electrical problem
it will not turn the motor over, I did say that I can start it by jumping the selonoid. I will check the micros at the F&R lever first. Thanks

Re: 92 carryall electrical problem
Check the micros for continuity when activated... you should hear a slight click when activated.... they can be intermittent and then fail completely .... the one at the throttle cable will cause this not cranking problem also.

Re: 92 carryall electrical problem
well i changed the micros and still not getting power to the switch leg of the selonoid. I rewired my grounds and checked for shorted wires and did not find anything out of the norm. I was wondering if my cc key switch is bad. Do you know the function of the wht and wht/black wire is and is this supposed to see 12v at any time if it is I have no power to this pole on the switch and do you know what leg I should check next. Kinda stumped!

Re: 92 carryall electrical problem
The key switch is a simple in & out switch, Check with a 12v test light or continuity test on voltmeter. the micro switches work the same way. power should go from key to F&R micro to throttle micro to solenoid activation.

Re: 92 carryall electrical problem
just thought it would eliminate parts to go bad. use key start direct to selenoid to start or will that not work. Kindof new to all of this!
