Default Clone throttle linkage help!

Ok guys...What was your solution for the throttle set-up? 16hp Carroll Stream engine, 1990 CC I had to remove the black box for clearance. The throttle rod is right in line with the air box and doesn't allow for the bell crank to be used. Did you remove the airbox completely and run an aftermarket air cleaner?

Here's how I did it...works well and bypasses the gov. You could put the stock air box back on but I didnt have enough clearance so I made a snorkel and relocated the intake to the bagwell.

i pretty much did what scotty b did. his looks a little better though so i won't post a pic. due to modesty. and i also ditched the black box because it didn't have anything in it that i needed. working out stock air cleaner, and exaust. pretty sure i can make them work too. everything has just been put on hold with the cart due project overloads. expect to get back to it soon.

With the linkage mounted to the frame, does your throttle ever act up as the suspension articulates or when the cart goes over bumps?
I put a throttle cable on my CC with a clone swap but this looks easier.

What did you all come up with for the choke cable hook up?

Good observation. Yes, if you have a lot of suspension travel or ride in very rough terrain that set up will tug on the throttle a little bit. But not much as the carb is at the end of the swing arm that moves very little.... So Not as good as an engine mounted cable. The CC has a solid linkage and it is not easy to transition to a cable from there
