Re: 2001 ez go workhorse performance
Which model is it? about the only thing I can think of right off is change to a shorter belt without changing clutch and gears. that is if it has the 350 or 295 in it. there's a thread about shorter belts in the tech section. if it's a 350 then putting a 295 head on it will bump up the compression and give you more power.

I have a 2001 workhorse with the 350 engine and installing the 295 head gave it a lot more pep.

Re: 2001 ez go workhorse performance
If it has a 295 then it's a 800g short wheelbase version. that's alot of tire for a 295 to spin. when you read the shorter belt thread pay attention to the 28deg driven clutch mod also, you may want to consider that too. the 28deg clutch comes stock on the ST carts and is ezgos way to deal with bigger tires.
the blue and green carts are the same size except the blue one has a longer bed. |

Re: 2001 ez go workhorse performance
it'll help by not letting the cvt shift up through the gearing as fast as it's doing now. it lets your engine build up more revs so those slow up hill climbs would get alittle faster.

Re: 2001 ez go workhorse performance
ok i was reading the shorter belt thread and you like the 41 inch better then the 40 3/4. i guess i will have to order it from a dealer or something and what would be the best way to put the belt on when it is real tight
