Stuck valve
Hello all, I have a G16 that quit running so I figured it was a good time to do a good tune up. Replace all the basic stuff and decided to check the valves adjustments. I came across a push rod that was not seated with the rocker arm, I have seen these before (not on this cart),and simply placed the rod back under the rocker arm and adjusted valves. This time I noticed the valve (passenger side) was stuck open and the rocker arm and push rod completely loose. I turned the engine by hand and both rocker arms seem to function correctly but the one valve stays stuck in the down position. Question is can I soak it with Blaster to free it, maybe a little help of a screwdriver? Or is it toast?
thx for all comments!!!! |

Re: Stuck valve
It's not hard to remove the head. You can do it with the engine in the car. Find out what's causing it (carbon or just worn out), new head gasket/valve cover gasket and maybe an intake valve stem seal. That fix's it correctly
