Default Installed rev kit, now bending pushrods

I installed a rev kit for my 23 hp vanguard motor, installed everything per cpps instructions, when i turn the motor over by hand and watch the rockers go up and down the springs completely shut and start to bend the pushrod. Ive double checked everything, set the valve lash correctly, if i adjust the pushrod adjuster on the rocker for less pressure then the pushrods falls out, what could be wrong, all 4 valves are doing the same thing, do i need to take one shim out?

Can you post a picture of the setup? I'm interested in what the springs look like in the free state.
You may have heavy-duty springs.
Stock springs will be .860" diameter, 1.57" long, and have 7 coils of .098 wire.

I only used 1 shim on mine with good springs you should be ok if you have a high lift cam mine wouldn't spin over with 3 shims the springs would bind up and if I tried to make it go you could see the stress on the push rods...

Yep sounds like coil bind.

On that pic its completely closed, and the pushrod is still pushing the rocker up.

Do you have a stock cam, or is it a higher lift?

What do you mean "it's completely closed".
The spring doesn't look like it's in bind yet. Did you open the motor, or just remove the heads?

Im not for sure, i bought the cart as is last year, it may be, when i set the valve lash correct to lifts the pushrod to far. Should i try just two shims and see if it will have clearance.

Completely closed as in no more spring flex left, the coils are touching in that pic, its hard to tell, but if i keep turning the motor the pushrod starts to flex
