Thanks guys just got my first cart running! Had a burnt D post on FNR. Replaced it am I'm good to go!

Both cart had burnt d post on FNR. Any reason d burns out?

Can't answer your question, but I second your sentiment. The knowledgeable guys on this board have taught me so much about DIY. No telling how much money it has saved me.

Also need to thank Gorno for his Diff thread, and TerryH for his rear end thread.

Total drive current flows through the contacts on the F/R switch.
Anything that causes resistance (Dust, dirt, debris, corrosion, looseness, strategically aimed bird droppings, etc,) causes heat.
Don't have a series cart, so I don't know if any F/R contacts is more likely to fail than the others.
