Foam ear plug and a piece of 55mph tape.

Re: Does anyone know how to tone down the backup alarm?
The holes on the FNR switch need to be plugged off. Use those foam ear plugs pggroves mentioned. Still not quiet enough for me so I'm thinking about poking a sharp object in there or pressing the muzzle of my Glock there squeezing off a round!!
Be advised though that this obnoxious, irritating tone is a safety feature. Dennis |

No! The P345 is too large a caliber. You're looking for something in the order of a 30 cal. The slug needs to slip through that hole...don't want to damage the F/R switch! Dennis |

I was thinking the beeper was mounted behind and facing one of those holes in the switch plate and was stuffing the foam hearing protector in them. On further inspection, even a 30 caliber is too big! |
