Default Anyone Getting your Gobblers yet ???

My Spring Gobbler season opened this past Sat the 15th.
Before season I saw some nice gobblers and thought I found where
they were roosting. Fri. the day before the season opener
we had a bad storm come through and it rained all day and night.
Got out to my honey spot sat morning at day light, and didnt even hear
a gobble . I just wonder if the storm made them move to another area
dunno .
But I havent seen any thing since last week.
Im going again back out there in the morning and evening and see what I
can find. Lord willing I will .

Good Luck everyone

Good Luck Mike
Hope you get a biggun, I bet y'all cant hardly wait till Sat morning.

Today I think I figured out what happened to the Tom's I saw last week.
This place is over run with coyotes, I saw two getting it down a fire break
as fast as they could. I pulled up on em a threw some #5 at them anyway
but didnt do anything but make him squal and run even faster.
Saw a bunch of Yote tracks every where I went .
There are a few dried up ponds out there with just a little bit of water.
So any game requireing something to drink will have to go there .
Im going to set up , and do some rabbit squealing but have my rifle handy
If it or they come in, there NOT leaving
Alive anyway ...........

I haven't got to go yet this year. It opened last saturday but had some family yard work to do. I usually like to hunt after the first week of April. Early season is very tough to pull them away from there flocks. Good Luck everyone.

The coyotes here in middle Tn are getting very plentiful and kill anything and everything they can. I've noticed in the last year that they seem to be getting braver. I see them during the day and close to the main road at times. They stumble onto my property and they don't last long.

I haven't heard of too many around my area. You can hear them at night but I was unaware that they were a problem..?

The problem around my area is they are cross breeding with the house dogs.
I was leaving for work and found this one trying to find something to eat.
Kinda thought it was a husky...still not sure but when I opened the door a yelled he just stared at me

At this point he had spotted my kids pygmy goats and decided to have a little snack....I don't think he was happy when it was all over
WOLF (7).jpg

He was almost 30in tall at the shoulder....plenty big enough to scare the **** out of anyone.

I called the local game warden and he came, said it was for sure a cross and also said there were probably more
