20 Day's and counting down ....

Just 20 days from today, and Spring Gobbler season opens
Im pumped, haveing early stages of Gobbler fever...
My thoughts have all but gone on focassing on anything else.
Been practicing my Yelps on every call I have, I hate to take them all
with me , I dont have enough pockets in my vest.

So I've got it narrowed down to 5 of my calls ... Maybe six
My diaphragm, thats a must...
double sided slate and crystel fricrtion call
One sided box
My shorty double sided box, this thing is only 6" but pure Turkey
Scratch box couldnt be without this one...
And last but surely not my least " My Owl Hooter"

Im I pumped ? or just pure crazy ?
I get this way every time Spring Gobbler season gets close...
But I Love it ... As the days get closer... Its gonna get worse I know

Hey man I know the feeling but I have to wait 'till APRIL 12 here in AR.
I think we have a good crop this year...just have to wait and see.

There are severial of us on here that hunt , and can hardly wait
untill it opens again.
Do you hunt private or public land ?
I have some friends in AR. the Turkey population around
them is hard to beat...

Turkys are pretty smart around here

BCW I am in lease with 4 others that is 360 acres,mostly thickets with a few hardwood flats. We have paper company land around us that our game and fish leases and then we buy permits to hunt it.
I live 1 mi. from the Ozark Natl Forest so I'm pretty much overloaded with hunting places.

Turkey season opens the 22nd here in Georgia. My wife has gotten interested in turkey hunting, so we went shopping Monday and got her a new shotgun, turkey calls, ground blind, and some ammo. Looks like will be in the woods doing some clucking.

I live about 5 miles from the South East corner of
the Ocala National forrest.
This comming Sat. Spring Gobbler opens, I have been roosting some birds
in the evenings. I was wanting to leave my ground blind out so the Toms
would get used to seeing it before season opened.
But heck , there's just to many dang thieves anymore
and thats a sad but true statement.

I just hope come Sat. they arnt busting me by the ground blind I use
I will try to poke some small sapplings around it to help it blend in.
They been struttin in the fields out in the open...
and my trigger finger for some reason starts twitching

You didnt tell her Turkey huntin is more addicting than any
thing did ya . You just might have created a monster
