club car ds half speed resistor wire
I have a 2003 Club Car DS and need to replace the half speed reverse resistor. I obtained an original part through Club Car. My problem is it is only about 10" long. This comes off the micro switch on the FNR switch and runs back to a 3 pin connector near the controller. Has anyone run into this? If I add wire to the circuit it will defeat the purpose of the fixed resistance wire.

Re: club car ds half speed resistor wire
That's is correct however the 3 pin connector MCOR is back at the controller. If add wire to the resistor wire you defeat the purpose so has anyone run into this and how did you over come it?

Re: club car ds half speed resistor wire
Cut the electrical tape from the wire loom beneath the F&R switch. Dig down a few inches and you'll see the resistor. Cut the wire beneath the old resistor and remove it. Solder in the new unit and hook it back up to the micro switch the same way the old one was.

Re: club car ds half speed resistor wire
If You connect the white and the green wires together at micro-switch #3, the cart will run at the same speed in reverse as it does in forward.

I think I need the same resistor, what is the part number and where did you get it?
