Default quit running

Have a club car, had a controller-Alltrax- NPX4844 and a GE motor 5BC49JB3071 installed, did good until drove at a constant speed of about 10 MPH for about 30 minutes. After stopping smelled like hot wires, when tried to go again only had wide open throttle for split second, and still when pushing foot feed only wide open throttle for split second. HELP, David

Forum needs more info to help you rather than wasting your time and forums doing alot of guessing?
Make=Club Car
Year=?
Model= F&R lever under right leg ( SERIES indicated with NPX Alltrax 4844 ), Rocker switch under right leg ( regen or IQ )?
Serial Number= ( COMPLETE NUMBER under passenger glove box on frame )?
Voltage=48 volts?? NPX 4844 comes for 24-48 volts so unable to tell for sure?
Motor=What Horse Power?? ( could have too high amp draw for controller )?
Additional helpful info include tire diameter, how high is lift, rear seat?
