Watts the ? so watts the answer?
Ok...so electric motors are "rated" using piles of different electrical "units of measure". So for ordinary people, it can get....interesting.
I'm looking at a "project" and need some advice\clairification on motor....ummm....strength? Power is maybe a better answer. So, if I have two brushless hub motors (and frankly...I don't know if there is a big difference between brushless and brushed) with 10" tubeless tires on them....and they are rated at https://www.amazon.com/L-faster-Brus...082R6X2WF?th=1 450 watts....does that mean if I have two of these mounted, does that equate to say one motor with 900 watts? Then of course, if I have 4 of these, is the total rating now 1,800 watts? This linked motor blurbs about 36V\48V 450 watts. So....from what I understand if the motor has a 36V power source, that means the motor can "demand" 12.5amps to run at top speed. With a 48V power source, the "demand" would be 9.38amps. And if I had 4 of these the total "demand" at top speed would be (48V) 9.38amp x 4 = 37.52amps. Do I have that right? |
