Western Elegante? Flashing Battery Meter
trying to help my neighbor with his 42 volt Western. I think it may be an Elegante model. Serial Nbr: 2001291709 -see pic.
Cart SOC meter started showing about 1/2 after full overnight charges. He indicated that batteries had boiled over and left big puddle of acid on garage floor. When I checked the cells were filled to the very top so don't know how many charges were done in this state. 3 of the cables had corrosion, so I unpluged pos and neg cables, then cleaned all corroded connectors and battery tops with baking soda + water and flushed with water. While cables disconnected, would get reverse alarm if one of cables on the + touched a wet spot, until neg cables reconnedted. When cables reconnected, missed a green wire that should have been on neg terminal. Batteries are pretty new 6 volt Trojans, and the pack tested at 80% using multimeter and SOC chart for 42 volts. However, the cart SOC meter started constant flashing of lowest 2 bars, and continued to do so after overnight charge cycle. Any thoughts and/or recommendations appreciated. Charging cycle |
