Inductive throttle issues
I have a 96 ezgo dcs that I put a 400 amp alltrax controller in and it's been working great. The controller recently gave me a throttle code so I ordered a new inductive sensor. I installed the new one and it still won't go, the new one measures 2.8 volts. Did I get a bad one? Also seen my percharge resistor was cut so I crimped a wire connector on it and added new wire. What would your thoughts be on this?

Re: Inductive throttle issues
Check the four pin connector from the pedal box to the controller. Corrosion and poor connection on this connector has caused a lot of misery and expense replacing parts that didn't fix the problem. Software diagnosis can't tell whether it is the ITS or a bad connector. The resistor should not cause a bad ITS code.

Re: Inductive throttle issues
Connector looks OK I guess. They look pretty clean.

Re: Inductive throttle issues
It sends high throttle over range error code

Re: Inductive throttle issues
Check the voltage between the black and white wires going to the pedal box while they are plugged into the controller and ITS sensor.
Normal throttle voltage for Alltrax controllers is 10V with pedal up and 6V with pedal down. Sounds like you are having crosstalk between the black and white throttle wires someplace. Most likely suspect in the in-line connector. Cut it out and replace it with individual solder joints or butt-splices and waterproof with marine grade (adhesive filled) shrink tubing. |

Re: Inductive throttle issues
Replaced the wires to the peddle box. Even had some of my old man's wiring stuff so I ran new and had new pins to put in the connector to reuse. Still nothing and 3 volts to the coil.

Quote:
1. Controller 2. ITS sensor in pedal box 3. Wiring connecting 1 & 2 Since you opted to continue using the inline connector, my only advice is replacing the ITS sensor is the next least expensive guess. |

Re: Inductive throttle issues
I installed a new ITS and I either get high throttle over range or low throttle under range. I am very Confused on this one.

Re: Inductive throttle issues
The controller is responsive and giving codes but I can't figure out what it needs to fix it.
