Default Heavy Duty Solenoid Replacement on Yamaha G29

Hello All,

I replaced my controller (Navitas) and upgraded the solenoid with a " X AUTOHAUX MZJ-400A" Solenoid purchased from Amazon. I hooked it up assuming hookups were correct (see photo attached).

When I press the pedal I hear a click but no movement. I first tried running this with the diode and resistor that was sent with the unit installed. When it did not run I tried installing it with the diode and resistor removed and still nothing.

I then put the stock solenoid back on and the cart worked.

Did I wire this up incorrectly (there was no paperwork with the solenoid)? Is the solenoid defective? Do I need the resistor and diode considering the stock did have them?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks wired correctly. Sounds defective. Probably a Chinese copy.

Did you find a solution? I am having the same problem, wired correctly and no power now. I am not even getting a click or any power to the converter for lights or anything. I have Roy Pow lithium, and Navitas controller and Motor. It was running and then I put it in and even put the old one back and nothing still. 53 V on the solenoid
