Re: Time to build the 94 CC DS :)
It's alive !!!!!!
Installed the new pedal, cleaned up all the wiring and took it for a spin.... hit 21mph, better than the stock 11mph but I thought I would get more :) The wheels rub a little at full lock so need to trim just a smidge.... Gonna have to trim or lift the rear an inch or so... 2 people is a constant slight rub... Thanks Scottyb |

Re: Time to build the 94 CC DS :)
So after all this work the cart was a bit loose at speed.... another member suggested aligning the front end.... i'll edit this when i remember who that was lol
amazing what aligning the front end will do ? got a consistent 1 and occasional 2 mph speed increase... Went with the string method, simple enough... Put it up on the lift, got it up nice and high, tied off a string to the left rear shackle and wrapped it all the way around the front at the wheel center caps and around the cart to the other shackle.. align one wheel so the string touches the tire front and back.... tape measure say's toed in quite a bit from lifting it... about 5/8... lot more than i expected lol Took a bit to get the lock nuts loosened on the tie rod, but when loose it was pretty easy to adjust... I left like 1/32 toe in.... Much better but not perfect... will have to play around some more.... Mike |

That's actually pretty good Mike. I believe CC states 1/8" - 1/4", but one thing for certain, you definitely do want some toe-in with a normal driver and street use. Watch that camber setting too, I know mine went severely positive when I installed my lift. This will make your steering seem like you are waving at people while riding down the road. Lol!

Re: Time to build the 94 CC DS :)
Keep posting on your front end efforts. I'm still dinging with mine trying to get to what I feel is a safe place to then go forward with upgrading speed. Not even close yet.
I had to laugh about your waving to the crowd statement. That's a far cry from a bike that rides like it's on rails. |

Re: Time to build the 94 CC DS :)
hhmmm... went out to check, i have zero patience and can't wait till 5 lol...
crap the camber is way off... lunch time project :) driver side 5/8, passenger about 1/4 if that... gotta loosen that center bolt in the leaf spring i guess and slide it over until they are at least even.... Mike |

This relocated the leaf spring 1.75 inches lower, giving me negative camber.... |

Re: Time to build the 94 CC DS :)
Time for Part 2 :) I have a few other threads but they are all over the map while I waffled with upgrade or buy a new.. , gonna try and cover the updates Round 2 here....
Going from the 8 6v batteries to 1 RoyPow 48v 105ah. Also adding a 4" A-Arm Jakes lift kit. Swapping out the tail lights for a set of leds. Cleaning up all the wiring and upgrading connectors to automotive weathertight style. |
