I tried to do the lobe pics but could't get a shot really showing the large duration difference.

Another bad weather day on the bay. Today we have the 69mm stroker crank from Vegascarts. As you can see this $60 masterpiece is beefy. In fact Jody Powell from ARC racing has never seen one fail. As he explains even with people using nitrous, nitro, super and turbo charging and mega compression ratios on alcohol NO crank failures. Most every other part you could imagine he has seen destroyed BUT not this jewel of machining.

As a retired aerospace machinist, it’s amazing to me they make such a piece that sells for that price. I know volume has a lot to do with it, but that’s a busy item, machining-wise! Sounds like a real bargain.

Since I am fooling around with the photo files here. This is the special Vegascarts HD 10 bolt block and front cover. Not hard to see why us HP nuts love their parts. P.S. If you somehow manage destroy one of these parts the block is $100 and the side cover is $35. These are spares for my Omega engine project.

BOY It rained and rained and rained here today. Can't imagine if it was snow how much we would have had. But is back to work in the city tomorrow. Checked the tide charts to see if I was going to be caught coming or going to the island.

Weather finally chilled out here, should be coming your way. Schools are fighting with state to get more days off due to state of emergencies being declared in some areas. Was over 150K homes out of power at one point from ice just in this area, ours out 3 days. They said in last 25 days we didn't have two days in row without precipitation, and in those 25 days had only 2 days with no snow/sleet/ice/rain.

Yeah that block is nice, I looked at one but then I'd have to build entire engine again and it runs fine right now lol. Getting lot of stuff done in house though, that is good, wont have to do it when weather gets nice.

Getting about time for spring fever, weather usually breaks in march here and start getting above freezing more. Your doing great job of making us feel bad with the clone candy photos Ray...

As much as I like the clone candy I would rather be riding it than posting it. BUT even on the warmer days the bay water is still COLD and add 15+ mph wind equals not fun carting weather.Had a quick ride the other day but it was back to the garage in a short time.

Family made a cab for their UTV that worked really nice, though they leave the windshield on it all the time. He got this plastic used in shipping that is about .200 thick and cut doors and back with windows in them, sprayed it with camo. Even without heat its a way nicer ride in cool temps. If you really want to, you just need a cage to hold it all which the UTV had already. But if you really want to ride that gives you a nice project lol

I see on ARC's youtube Jody Powell is got the new DED small clone cylinder head on an engine in his cart. You show a racer something better and bingo they are out there trying it out.
