Clutches help
I have a 98 fe290just freshened, lifted and such. I have been rebuilding and replacing as I go misc parts and pieces. I had it on gps at 23mph 3800 rpm. I decided to install the driven power spring and the +200rpm drive clutch as well at the same time along with replacing the ramps, thrust washers and such. Well I like the torque and she climbs hills for sure, but I lost about 7mph. Is this possible? Also I notice the cart is jerky and I can now hear the drive clutch "clunking" never noticed it before. Is This normal as well. I am just keeping the fe for a short while longer, since I see a BIG BLOCK in the future

Re: Clutches help
Not that was mentioned anywhere in the paperwork, hence I figured someone here might have had simular effects. Always a great source for info as well.
