Rear clutch wont engage
I took my cart for a test drive last night and it will only go 5mph tops. The primary clutch tries to engage but the back one does nothing. Any ideas what could be wrong? I had this same problem before in another cart but with the same belt. Could my belt be to wide? The clutches look like they are lined up good and they are exactly 13" apart. I will post some pictures of it.
This is the belt I am using. http://www.mfgsupply.com/m/c/HP3022.html Oh when should I change the oil back to normal oil? I have a diesel engine oil in it right now for breaking in. Thanks for the help! |

Id say after 5-10 hours change the oil back. Is the shaft on the secondary clutch scuffed or prohibitted in any way? Is there something in the secondary causing it to not move? I wouldn't *think* a belt would be to blame, but I've seen stranger things.

One more question, I started the engine fine when it was off, drove it around for a while wondering why the rear clutch wouldnt engage, then I decided to turn it off. I switch the key to off and it keeps running. The only way I can stop the engine is to stall it out with the choke. I'm sure thats not to good for the engine.

If I can move the clutch in by hand does that mean it should work and the belt is the problem? Somebody told me to use this belt they use it in teir cart so I dont think its the belt?

If you can move it with your hands, it pretty much HAS to be the belt.
And is it that wiring right to the battery causing the lack of shutdown? Or is there a break in the wires somewhere? How is the switch? |

UBERCART yours is an EZGO right? I'm going to go take some pictures of it now. Only thing I can think of is the clutches aren't lined up how they should be or they aren't working together.
Is there a trick to lining the clutches up? I seem to have a hard time with that. |
