Rear end drag? Or motor problem?
'99 Club Car, 36 volt. I've taken care of brake drag, lubed front, new batteries. Still : 1) runs slowly and 2) seems to run out of charge quickly. Almost like the rear wheels are lubed with tar. When I jack up the back end, it's tough to get the wheel off the ground to spin, and then slows to a stop very quickly. No obvious places where it grabs more than any other. Just doesn't spin freely. Same for both wheels, regardless of gear in fwd/neutral/rev. Is there some lube point for rear wheels? Does the whole drive train and motor spin (i.e. always connected to wheels) if wheels are spun? thanks.

Re: Rear end drag? Or motor problem?
RIB:New to this form/format. What with all the daily posts, and new threads, I wasn't sure anyone saw the original one. I got comments about my other post, but didn't get any that addressed this issue, or at least none that I recognized. Still looking for an answer as to whether the rear wheels, individually or together, should spin freely when off the ground and spun manually. Mine don't, and I don't know why. Thanks. /t.
