Motor testing
I have a 2002 EZ-GO TXT 36-volt PDS golf cart with a Curtis 1206 MX controller. The controller was bad I had it rebuilt and before installing the controller I was doing some testing to make sure I didn't have other problems. I got to the motor test procedure that I got from FSIP and the very last thing it said was f1 to motor case should be greater than 5 megaohmns. On The carts unlimited website it says it should be less than five ohms. The reading I got was 1.6 kohms Which is out of specs according to both test procedures. My question is what would cause this and why did the two test procedures say different things. Is my motor bad and need to be replaced or is there something I can do to fix it. Thank you in advance Any help is appreciated
