1996 Club Car DS- Gas. Please Help solve my mystery!
96 club car ds gas.
Doesn’t start when you push pedal down. Will start when you jump solenoid. Replaced solenoid and micro switches. Found a broken wire on the key switch. It is the red wire. Would that make the foot pedal not turn over the engine? Will run and drive if you Jump solenoid with key on. |

Red wire is power for the key switch, so yes, if it’s broken the cart will not run.
Looks like the terminal corroded and broke off the switch but can’t see much of anything in the pic. |

It looks like from the wiring diagram in the sticky section the red wire from the key switch goes to the fuse block (check the fuse after you fix the wire to the key switch), and then from the fuse block it goes to the solenoid.
