Default *****oh what have i done???!!!!!*****

So I bought a China Cart. Its a Jinghang Golf Cart. It's brand new.

I needed a 6 seater and this came across my path.
Call it an experiment.

Its got gel batteries and a junky radio.
Does 20mph on the button.

Where can I find more info on these carts?

And what the heck are these GEL batteries about?

Thanks guys!!

https://ykjinghang.en.alibaba.com/

If the cart doesn't have universally available components, it's probably a throwaway, like a flat screen tv...

More likely its a clone based off some other older cart and the parts are universal to that.

All my carts are much older Japanese made yamahas but Id venture to guess the frame is one of the few parts on many of the newer "american" carts that may not come from overseas.. Its likely many of the parts on the chinese cart are interchangeable clones or even oem replacement parts for the carts the frame was cloned from. They made complete Buick clones over there in the 90s and with the help of all the american companies that send the blueprints and designs over there to have it made cheaper they are only getting better at it.

Ive had good luck so far with the curtis "clone" controller in my cart.. Of course since mine came off the same chinese assembly line as the "genuine" chinese made curtis controllers, is it even a clone?

Many carts are produced at the same factory in China under different names. They will make one with any name on it if you buy enough. It takes awhile for the knowledge base to get better on newer cart that have just arrived, so it might be a bit before you can get wiring diagrams, controller hacks, etc.

I believe the cart in the website below is from the same factory, and final assembly is in Michigan. The website isn't much, but might give you some information. They also have a Face Book page as well.

Flooded lead acid batteries have spillage issues when shipped over on big container ships. It is my understanding that for this reason they are shipped with Lithium or gel cell batteries.

I don't know if they are any good or not, but I am supposed to see one soon. I will report back....

I run Gel-Cell 12V batteries in series on a scooter. They work well for their intended purpose. Because the scooter is so small, a swap to lithium would only increase the distance a person can travel.....and trust me......you don't wanna go farther than a gel-cell pack will get ya!

I found out it a Kandi / Craftsman (sold at lowes) clone.
It has a Enpower conntroller which is tuneabale, so thats nice.
I'm still trying to find info on the Gel Batteries, like what is top "full" voltage and how far down I can run them.

Thanks guys!!!!
