Is there any way to get the software for the PDA. We have 6 new yamahas in our fleet and they all need to have the speed increased.

We had to get some special tools (a kit of devices that plug into a USB port called "Kvaser") and software from Yamaha (which is backed up to a thumbdrive) that replaces the whole PalmPilot interface. Our Palm device's touch screen failed, and since we can't hotsync it to backup the software to transfer it to another Palm device because you have to tap the icon to hotsync (and the touch screen is dead) we arrived at a dead end.

The software we use now runs on a Windows PC (laptop). You have to contact Yamaha in order to get it. The Palm Z22 handheld is functionally obsolete in 2023.

FYI, without the special PTV codes (which Yamaha ain't selling!) you won't get much speed out of them with the stock Moric controller. You will only go from 12 MPH to 15 MPH. The PTV codes will get you 19.5MPH, but again, they won't tell us. Or sell it to us. An Alltrax XCT will be a much better upgrade.

Could you give any additional details? (price, part numbers, etc) Called up our local cart parts dealer and they were complaining how they have been unable to get their hands on anything for Yamaha.

I've dealt with Club Car and EZ-go since 2003, and have had a Curtis OEM handheld for over a decade, but a bunch of Yamaha DR2E18s just appeared at work. Need to tweak the speed and regen (but don't need private speed) Boss prefers to do stuff in-house rather than relying on a dealer.

I'd wager the "Kvaser" is a USB > CANbus interface. Have a handful of PCANs here but I doubt those would suffice.

I have been looking for that software for some diagnostics on a cart I am working with. Anyone know of a place I could get it?

I don't know where they got it from other than yamaha. the kit came in a Yamaha box with sofware on a thumbdrive.
