Default dead controller-opportunity to upgrade?

I have a 2004 Precedent, lifted 6 seater. Its on its original motor (I assume) and controller. But today the cable connecting the controller to the motor came loose and seems to have touched negative to positive and fried the controller. I live in a very rough terrain area, durability and torque (carrying passengers up hill) are more important than speed. I have been planning on switching to lithium batteries with the next set. Seems like now is a good time to plan ahead, or maybe just do it all at once. If I want to convert this to 72volts, what do I need to do? The Navitas 600 had been recommended, but can that handle a 72 volt system? Any guidance is appreciated.
