20:1 to 10:1 shift on the fly. That should be interesting.
How much was it Scott? |

Re: my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
got it buttoned up last night, I made all new cables and soldered them rather than the crimp I had, relocated charger plug, batt watering system installed but was waiting on the charger to arrive, the pack had almost 75 volts, so I drove it around, man let me tell you the torque pulls all the way to the top end, 30 mph in high, same on the low side 15 mph, I hooked a chain up to the cart and a oak tree, pulled the chain tight, hit the brake and let off all the way on the throttle, then punched it, that thing dug itself down to the axle right away with both tires pulling. the shift on the fly is also pretty nice, gets some getting used to, when you go from low to high, you can feel the torque and speed all the way to the top end
has the same performance forward and reverse I got home today and the charger had arrive, well only for a moment, they put the wrong plug on the charge cord, so the right one will be here Wednesday, I jury rigged it up and its charging now only problem was the DC-DC reducer is not working, so I need to trace down that problem and finish putting the back seat and top back on, I will get some pics in a little while |

Re: my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
Well it's bout time you got that beast going! Lmao..... Does the rear end have much of a whine too it? They emailed me a video of 1 of there carts showing how the shift on the fly worked and in the vid it sounded like the rear was a little noisy? Hope that's not the case cause I want 1 but I'm gonna be using my cart a lot during bow season and want it to be like a ninja

Re: my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
I caint believe that video is even out there, that cart sounded like it was about to fall apart
No noise per say from the rear, aftermarket motors kind of have their own sound that's different from stock, so that's what I would say. I think you could still be ninja with it, provided you can keep from pulling out stumps and going too fast on the trails. |
