More than likely a DPI 72 volt smart charger

Re: my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
DPI only makes a 12 amp 72v charger. You really need at least 15 amps or better yet 20 amps.
If you got room for an on-board, I highly recommend the 72v, 20A Quick Charge charger. http://www.batterychargerdepot.com/Q...ardonboard.htm Quick Charge also makes quality portable chargers. http://www.batterychargerdepot.com/Q...e/standard.htm Just giving you options. |

Re: my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
Parts are slowly coming in, got the harness back from Tahodawgz71, thanks bro, the reversing contactor, line contactor, heat sink, and the trojan watering system, waiting on motor, dc-dc reducer and controller.
should have some progress late week on mounting things up |

Re: my 48volt IQ to 72 volt series conversion
I have a 48-72v 700a ge controller on my tow truck/golf cart at work with a bad boy motor that I run usually at 48v but sometimes add another couple batteries off the pallet when I really want to go fast. I can pull wheelies off the sandy roads on the island I work at that's how much torque it puts out.

I decided on the portable, still waiting on it, I also still need to relocate the charge plug over to the drivers side of the cart in front of the rear wheel. |
