Default In need of parts number and knowledge on 1982 ds transaxle.

I have a 1982 club car ds. I noticed that my breaks were covered in gear oil. So I decided to replace oil seal and bearings. The transaxle has a 16 spline input. What I would like to know. Is who manufactured it or what this particular transaxle is called. Also does any one know what the part numbers are for the bushings, bearings, and seals? And where I can buy them?

Thanks,
Dane.

ok so I was able to find out I have a terrell transaxle and found both seal and bearing replacements. but I haven't been able to find a bearing retainer. and I have to replace the bearing. Is there a way to save the bearing retainer so i can reuse it?

I take it the snap ring is what you are calling the bearing retainer? If so, they are reusable as long as you don't damage it on removal. Just make sure it is flat and not dished out. Usually a couple of light taps with a hammer on a steel plate can straighten any minor deformation.

No I was under the impression the bearing retainer was the silver piece in front of the bearing in the picture.

The part I circled is the part I can't seem to find anywhere.

That looks like part of the axle.

Oh, so maybe the bearing slips over that?
... I'm gonna try to find a puller long enough to get it off.
