AaronW . That piece you are telling him to remove is the front engine cradle mount. There's no place to mount the engine cradle with out it. And he said in this thread in post #7 that he was going to have some new cradle mounts spacers made/machined. He is not going to use the threaded rod for the engine mounts.

I get my new clutch on Monday so I’ll make up my mind if I need to cut the mount plate or raise it. Regardless of my decision I’ll make sure it’s nice and steady and level... how’s vibration on this motor should I look into some rubber material ?

I never run any rubber isolators, but I've never run the 625. Being a large displacement single cylinder it might be subject to more vibration than the VC460.

The front of the cradle looks to have (2) pieces to it and I've only encountered 1 piece. The part that is physically interfering with the motor mount could be removed which should make the motor sit more level?

Just a thought...

Doesn't matter what you do till you have your engine. I wouldn't cut anything. There have been several threads having stories about mounting the 625 with the oil filter out the front. Till you know what's up with that -- don't cut anything.

So I’m forced on not working on the cart for a couple of weeks. had a bit of a fall and damaged my knee. After a MRI scan found a torn ACL now recovering from surgery. I need to make up my mind on a color ford has two grays I’m considering One is a metallic finish and the other is a solid cement color I’ll see I can pull up some reference photos

Sorry to hear about your fall.
A torn ACL is NO fun.

Hope you have a speedy recovery.
