Default 07 Umax Vc 625 build

Hi guys

New to the golf cart world just pick up a free 07 Umax. I work at a ford dealership, the cart had been left for dead for 2 years now I ask the owners son how much he wanted for it, I never got a response. 3 months go by the owners son needed some help with his jet ski in return he gave me the cart 😁.
He told me the motor was blown, did a quick search found a oem motor for $900🙀 i told myself if spend that kinda money it better be 3times the hp

I quickly found out their is not much info on the Umax it’s a breed of its own 🤦🏽*♂️
No lift kits no nada. I ordered the vc 625cc and plate and some accessories. Planning on a full repaint and wheels and tires, lights, sound and a winch

Here are some pics of my progress

I feel your pain on having very little, if Any options for your cart.

I was given a 2007 Columbia ParCar. Not many options, and the ones that are out there, cost 3-4 times what it should.

Good luck with the cart.

Sometimes, a little ingenuity and innovation can go a long way.

Looks like a little trimming is required

Which will make the engine level ? Are those bolts like that going to take the torque ?

the plan was to get someone to machine me some longer spacers. having the motor level is a must on both options. I spent too much money to have this thing go up in smoke

Point 2 Which will work best with the exhaust system ? Yamahas engine swaps are usually tight in this area.

going to build it from scratch so nothing set in stone yet...I'm going to wait for my clutch to come in I'll make a decision then.

Great thinking. My guess for clutch alignment lower is going to be better. Looks like you are man with a plan. Have fun.
