Default Just purchased a Royal Ride. Now I have ?s

I just picked up the Royal Ride that is my profile pic. Cool little car but have a few questions I'm hoping someone can answer. I'm new to the golf cart thing and this will be driven around town and maybe in parades. Please be patient with my ignorance.

First of all, the SN is B8019-12757. According to the sticky in the link below it would be a 1980 48V Club Car. Thing is, it's running on 36 volts right now. Is this truly supposed to be a 48v car?

Second question, I want to buy a new set of battery cables. Are the cables car specific. I can't find any that list in my date range. I know I could make my own but would rather just buy a set of 2 ga and be done with it.

Third question, Any easy way to align these cars? Pulls to the left and the outside of one tire is worn as well as the inside of the other tire.

Fourth question, The old battery charger is really loud and runs on a timer. It's most likely on it's last leg. Are there any chargers that I could buy that would work for this cart and would automatically shut off?

Fifth question, Driving it today it slowed way down (still charged) and started to smell like hot electronics. I stopped it and opened the seat where I discovered a hot wire connected to one of the terminals. Insulation was melting at the connection. I cleaned and tightened all of the connection and replaced the terminal end. Anything else I need to check that might have caused this or been affected by it?

I really appreciate any help.
