![]() Warrantys are not worth the paper/Screen real-estate they are on.
Most of these companies fold within a year and then open up under a new name so any warranty they claim should not be considered as a value proponent when comparing prices. |

![]() I'm in the same boat and cross my fingers every time... Fortunately it didn't happen to me so far. Recently i had a situation, where the SOC jumped down suddenly from 40% to zero, but the BMS gave a warning on the screen and I was able to drive back to the house w/o shut down. It's a question of the BMS and it's settings. There was definitely one cell low. So my solution so far is to watch the battery monitor and won't let the battery get too low. With the Navitas controller, it is possible to limit the max amp draw from the battery. One idea for the future is, to prepare my spare magnetic brake with some softer springs inside.

![]() My Vatrer battery also came with a card to scan and register for an extra warranty. I think it was an added 2 years

![]() I mostly agree with that statement. I think a company that is a little more accessible and has a decent customer service offering at the time of purchase is more likely to be around in a few years to honor their warranty. Others that are pretty lean and just provide an email address are likely to disappear if there are any product issues or develop bad online reviews. They will pop back up as a different brand and start all over.

The cart performed so much better 3 years ago when the batteries were newer. We have a lot of hills in my neighborhood so I feel like I need to upgrade the batteries whether or not I plan to keep it. I look at the cost of these lithium packs and the cost of replacement Trojan batteries and feel the extra cost could easily be recouped if I were to sell it. |

![]() Just wanted to touch base with my experience with Mosasaur. I ordered from Amazon right before Thanksgiving, and they gave me a delivery time of 1 month later, and I was fine with that. They sent a tracking number within a day, and figuring it was coming from China, it would take some time. Well...the tracking number hasn't updated, so on the final day I cancelled and got a refund. Not saying this will happen everytime, but it was just my experience. I ended up going with a Cloud Energy battery, and it showed up in less than a week, and well before the scheduled delivery date. I have yet to install it in my cart, but when things start to warm up, it will go in.

![]() Still researching lithium convertion so love the discussion / experiences with specific brands. I kind of like the Vater but interesting there are several brands that have almost identical cases with similar specs but varying prices. Since all this stuff orginates in China its almost like they just slap differnt labels on the case??? Have alos looked at Amazon and you see 48v 100 A-h packs from $800 up to $1700 + Wonder if the prices vary because some cheaper ones use "B" rated cells. Have seen some discussion that "B" cells can perform well initially but maybe will not provide the long term life of "A" cells
For me at this point I think the customer service aspect may be as important as price. Just hard to know how good it will be untill you need it but price is easy Still researching!!! |

![]() I said it before and I’ll say it again. I like Vatrer in that they’ll tell you what’s in the box but I don’t like how they are overstating the specs of EVE cells. They rate their EVE cells at 2c while EVE the manufacturer rates them at 1c and they won’t say if they’re A grade or B grade. They have to be doing something to make them cheaper. Time will tell how long they stay in business.
