12 txt 48v charging issue

Guys I got a 2012 48v txt, recently just started going dead after about 20-30 mins of riding. Battery volts are currently 43.5 when dead. Any ideas?? Batteries are 2 yrs old and the charger is only 1 year old.

First, check the voltage of each individual battery in their current state. Any battery way lower than the rest is a likely source of your troubles. If they all check out even (but low), then recharge all with the cart charger & retest individual voltages. Based on the voltage number you gave, it seems pretty clear to me you will find one or more bad batteries. But before we decide they are the problem, we need to see that the charger is working.

Thank you. I will do that. I did notice last night that the amp meter on my charger is not jumping up and coming back down. It hums like it is working, led lights say charging and charged after a while.

The batteries seem to be all reading around the same. 8.7- 8.9 after charging. Total voltage after charging is 53.

Scratch that. Just found 3 batteries at 5 volts or less

Ok so my meter lead is bad. All the batteries read good. Around 8.8 volts

All the batteries test around 8.8.

All the batteries test at a little over 8 volts after charging.

OK, retest in the morning, with the meter on the 20v dc setting so we get hundreds of a volt (8.xx) & post the results. After that, drive it while monitoring voltages when it's getting low & do stop to read the individual batteries. Since the charger is working, sounds like a battery issue. Would be easier to nail down which is bad if you had good meter Probes with clamps so we could see individual voltages while driving.

Ok, so I drove the cart today. Started out at 52 volts. While riding it would drop to 46.5 then plain out and go back up. After riding for a bit the voltage slowing started to get lower, 44.5 but didn't lose much speed. I go back home and and decide to make the same trip around the block. Half way there it just stops and would barely roll. Just like you pulled the plug. At that time voltage was 42.1. Made it back to my drive way, check all the batteries. Hold the brake and gas at same time I get 45.4 after it sat for 10 mins. Here is a pic of the current measurements. 20170220_214510.jpg
