Honda GX390 jet size
I just did a GX390 install on my 2001 EZGO TXT. Here’s what I have on, NR racing air filter, comet 780 clutch, custom exhaust with a B&S muffler. I plumbed the fuel system using a spacer on the intake with a nipple for a pulse to the stock fuel pump. I put in a Tee connector in the line that feeds the carburetor as a overflow return line to the fuel tank. The problem I’m having is it’s sluggish upon acceleration and backfires through the exhaust. When I switch out and use the original tank for the GX390 it runs fine. Do I need to re-jet the carb?

Re: Honda GX390 jet size
A better way IMHO would be to add an adjustable main jet such as ECcarbs sells. Then you can dial the engine in for optimal performance.

Re: Honda GX390 jet size
I was doing some researching and that seems the way to go.
