Default Wanted: 94-2000 EZGO txt Steering Parts

Looking for early txt frame mounted, 3 bolt steering column, shaft and steering box. Or any of the above.
The box can be an empty housing or destroyed mechanically as long as the pinion surface is OK.
Plan to cut the parts up and use for mockup in a '99 txt power steering conversion project.
Called couple locals and only find new.
If near Charlotte area, will pick up.
This project is under way and I'll move on these parts immediately.
Anyone? Prices? I'll pay shipping too. In order to make shipping easier, the column and shaft can be cut in half. Only need about 18" of the lower half. Or not. The whole thing is good too. The parts can be ugly. No problem. Don't need steering wheel or any other lower steering components.
Power steering is going on the KawCart.
PM or comment and I'll follow up.
Thanks

Good morning. I cant help with parts as i am sure you know i am not local LOL.

But you really need to downsize your images! I had to plug in to my 80 inch tv to see them.

Good luck with this new project, I am sure it will work out fine.

Yep. Across the pond you are.
Re the images, sometimes the phone asks what size image and I choose the middle. Other times it just does its thing and posts.
I'll make an effort to never use the high quality option.
Didn't know about the display issue?! Computer savvy I ain't.
And too old to be re-educated...
BTW, the steering project is moving along nicely. Interesting how Japanese parts have many common dimensions utilized among various manufacturers. More on this.

Despite the lack of noise from my end, we are in the final stages of completion. Building the steering as a separate unit that will simply bolt on where the old column resides. It's about 12" of the old column. Al the wiring is completed. Steering unit works. Bit more work on the column flange and tig it up.
I've been traveling with the cart and didn't want to take it out of service. But we are done for the season.
Have fitted up all adaptors for steering wheel, lower shaft, and column cover.
Back on the cart. Pics soon.
Below was Cherokee. NC. Happy Holiday RV Village. Big bluegrass festival. Use the cart to tote both 3/4 acciustic and NS upright electric bass. Perfect for the job.

Progress.
Now find some way to hide the drive. Cannot be mounted below the firewall.
Pretty simple once sorted out.

I'm amusing myself here.
But, Kaw Cart is again drivable. The power steering doesn't add much to the steering effort when depowered. I was concerned that it would not be drivable if the electrical system failed. The wiring isn't complete, but it drives with very little additional effort.
The wiring will be completed tomorrow and the real test begins.
Waiting on a Yamaha steering cover. It fits the Prius 1.77" column. Too easy.
The overall column is about 4" shorter. No issues getting in and out.
The only thing that must not happen is grabbing a handfull of steering wheel when at lock. The power unit will break things. It lacks load sending capability as it's operating in limp mode. Just operates off the steering wheel input. Always full on. Like the old Chevy's power steering. Easy to operate.
Back to "Girls on Carts"...credit to FairTax!

Steering mod works great. Should've done this 3 years ago.
Only issue left is hiding the gearbox. Camouflaged the motor. Tidy bit of wiring but simple to do.
The unit took steering kickback out too. Drives like a car.
The chrome column cover is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Then I can finish the steering wheel. The turn signal controller fits the yamaha sized column diameter. It's temporarily mounted.

Today the steering controller was mounted beneath the dash behind the switch panel. Much better appearance. Don't notice the wiring now.
No chrome column cover. Never made it to Charlotte. Shipping ain't what it used to be.
Not much need for power steering unless running really big tires, with a live axle. The heavy steering was always an issue. Riding down the road was good...maneuvering in tight places was not. That problem is resolved.
Only curious thing that cannot be resolved is a 10 second delay as the steering controller goes into limp mode. Not a biggy. It still steers pre-power steering without the unit powered up. If the power steering fails, it can still be operated without a problem.
Noticed the delay today while picking up SWMBO's bluebird boxes. Replacing about a 1000' of pasture fence and the boxes had to go. Left the ignition on while hoping from box to box in order to avoid the 10 second delay. Curious how much switched background voltage the controller requires?
Cannot be much.
This will soon be a dead thread. I'm done other than the column cover.
A Prius steering could be added beneath the firewall on 2001 or later TXT. My early unit has the rack bolted to the firewall. Later TXTs have the rack on the front suspension. Room for a modified Prius unit beneath the floor.
Cheers!

And we have a touch of chrome (SS?). Perfect fit. Hard to believe that Toyota uses exactly the same upper steering column diameter as Yamaha golf carts. They do.
Yamaha 1.77" column OD.
EZGO column is 1.48" OD.
Steering inner shaft is 3/4".
Prius output shaft spline: 11/16" (17mm) x 36 splines.
Adptor: Borgeson 312500 has correct Prius spline x 3/4" smooth.
Also interesting that Toyota steering shaft spline adaptors-to- cart steering wheel are readily available.

For S&Gs: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...ps-conversion/

The only machine work involved the EZGO steering column and shaft. Nothing complicated.
I suppose we have a wrap here.
Nothing much to add unless it breaks....I'll advise of issues as they pop up.
That stick under the dash is holding the electronic steering controller up while the double tape sets. It will be removed.
Cheers!
