2008 Club car repaint
So got my first golf cart about a month ago and now time to turn it from University of Tennessee color to a Pittsburgh Steelers color.
First step was to find vinyl paint for the seats.(vinyl rattle can worked really good) Next prep for paint and mask, wiped everything down with alcohol then paint. Rattle can yellow with 3 or 4 coats. New steering wheel. Today, add some decals. and waiting on more. |

2008 Club car repaint
Looks good. You just using spray paint made for plastic from like Home Depot?
Next time just take the front hood and rear body off and not taped anything. Takes about 2 minutes to take off the front and 5-10 minutes to take off the rear. I’m painting mine too. Before Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yea just rattle cans from HD. Good thing is I've been a painting contractor for 40 years and masking is no problem, but next time I'll look to taking it off. This is all new to me.

With that back seat installed, it may have been impossible to remove the body without taking it off first.
I just left HD with $60 in spray cans, acetone and sandpaper. I’m using a gloss grey color. Should I go over it with clearcoat too? Hope mine turns out like yours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
