Belt size
Could use some expertise here . Have EZGO TXT & HF670, with Vegas Carts cradle & Mount. Measuring the clutches plus 2 inch results in about 48 1/2 outside dim. Calls and emails to Vegas Carts, still no one could tell me the OD of the belts. I presumed the EZB01/47 was about 47” outside circumference. ( it is)
The belt I asked for is P/N EZBO2V, as it is the one sent with the EZGO/670HF install kit, I was told. I received, EZBO1/47. Call/email to VC again, and was informed the EZBO1/47 IS the belt sent with EZGO/VTwin kit, and the part number EZBO2V is no longer valid. That was about 6 weeks ago. Today I see that part still listed on the website. So, the 1/47 works - kinda. Shifting is difficult, and there is zero movement left in the mount. (The slots are generous, but right now in the wrong direction!) Don’t relish the idea of another $50 belt, but would rather that then to pull the engine to lengthen the slots. Any ideas are appreciated! |

Re: Belt size
I used the dayco belt sizing chart for snowmobiles/atv's to find the exact belt needed for a perfect fit along with a much beefier cross section.

Re: Belt size
Thanks Ray - that’s what I was looking for. I had found a Gates chart, but it didn’t quite get there

Re: Belt size
FYI The 1.25" wide belt works great with the comet 780 and yamaha secondary. It actually gives you a little more top speed as it rides a little higher on the primary.

Re: Belt size
Update:
Been working with Geoff at Vegas Carts, and he cleared the part number confusion for me. Two part numbers ( one older, one newer) same part. He also spent some time& several emails to find out why I might need a longer belt. Sure be nice if more businesses were that attentive. X 2 for the Vegas Carts folks. |
