First EzGo
Do these have the F-N-R rear end? I’m usually a Yamaha guy but, this cart fell into my lap reasonably cheap. Anyone have a model year?

Re: First EzGo
That’s a 1989
Think I saw that for sale recently. Is that the one missing a muffler? Think if it’s the same one there was other stuff missing as well besides just the muffler. |

Yes, bought it from a buddy of mine. Wanting to put a 4 stroke engine in it. Not sure how it would work?

I did put a predator 212cc engine in an 89 not too long ago. Basically a big go kart for the kids to drive around and beat the crap out of for the summer. The engine was far too gone to save, so the predator toy is what it became. Still fun but far from ideal. No reverse, pull start, and these are quite difficult to push if you don’t slip off the belt. If the engine is salvageable you’re really much better off rebuilding it. |

Re: First EzGo
It was still fun as a go-kart after the swap. But definitely not golf-cart style anymore though. It still had quite a bit of power and would do around 12-13mph and pull through mud, and maul down bushes and stuff quite well to
I did get the original motor running for about 10 minutes before it grenade entirely. Once I pulled the original motor apart and saw the remains of what was inside, I decided to put the little predator in it. Think I only paid about $300 for it to begin with so not a total loss. Was able to sell the good stuff that was left (reeds, exhaust, electronics, fan, etc) and have what ended up making out okay on it. Gave us something the kids beat up on hood all summer and sold for like $600 at the end of the summer so we broke even and had fun with it :) got videos of the kids bombing through a pasture of 4-6ft tall weeds somewhere |

Re: First EzGo
I’d love to get this one running. I’m sure it would make a decent campground cruiser for someone

Re: First EzGo
We have an 88 Marathon we are working on right now. The kids used and abused it.
