The difference between Forward and Revers is which contacts are toughing in the F/R switch, so if the cart is going in one direction but not the other, the problem is in the F/R switch.

If I understand it correctly, the cart has never ran with the HD F/R switch installed. If so, it may need to adjusted side to side. The mounting holes are oblong for that reason.

The easy way to test this theory is to disconnect the shift linkage at the F&R and use a 9/16 open end wrench to rotate the F&R center shaft lock to lock and test direction.

Thanks for the input. The cart hasnt been ran with this switch yet. I did get it to work but it's not 100% right. Had to tighten the piss out of the 9/16 nut. Guess it was too loose to let the lugs make contact. The switch is ridiculously hard to turn now. Not sure if something got messed up when the wires were crossed. Either way, guess i'll be ordering a new switch.

Put your old F/R switch back in and see if that fixes it. When you say HD F/R switch is it the real deal? I've had mine for 8 years with no issues.
